Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Musasi Miyamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Moreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Musasi Miyamoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Moreira!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moreira scores a takedown into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moreira can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Miyamoto is looking to escape.

Moreira jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Miyamoto is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Miyamoto and Moreira has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Moreira misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miyamoto tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Moreira wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Moreira decides to stand back up.
Moreira circles away from the clinch attempt.

Miyamoto closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Moreira did well to prevent Miyamoto getting side control.

Moreira shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Miyamoto is trying to defend but Moreira finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Moreira shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Miyamoto but Miyamoto pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Miyamoto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moreira tries to avoid it but Miyamoto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moreira to the ground. Moreira escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Moreira tries to keep at a distance but Miyamoto has taken the fight into the clinch.

Moreira manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Moreira wants to improve his position but Miyamoto is controlling well.
Moreira is refusing to be controlled, as Miyamoto sits in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Musasi Miyamoto will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Moreira wants to take a breather but Miyamoto is having none of it.

Miyamoto shoots in looking for a takedown but Moreira manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miyamoto's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Miyamoto fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Moreira to the ground. Miyamoto is now in Moreira's guard.

Moreira with a poor takedown

and Miyamoto counters with a shoot takedown. Moreira fights it but they end up in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Miyamoto throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Moreira tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Miyamoto is in Moreira's guard.

Moreira lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Miyamoto!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Musasi Miyamoto showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miyamoto, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
