PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Mad Cow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Kildahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kildahl has chosen dont get up as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sam Kildahl was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kildahl throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mad Cow gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kildahl gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kildahl looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kildahl swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Mad Cow tries to clinch

and Kildahl counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kildahl.
Kildahl tries to pull guard but Mad Cow forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kildahl is trying to break free.
Mad Cow wants to take the fight to the mat but Kildahl manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kildahl drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mad Cow pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jeff Mad Cow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Kildahl.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mad Cow enables Kildahl to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mad Cow manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Mad Cow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kildahl, pushing him back against the cage.
Mad Cow gets underhooks to prevent Kildahl's takedown attempt.

Kildahl tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mad Cow just stands there and leans against the cage.

Kildahl's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kildahl.

Kildahl throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mad Cow was covering up waiting for the punch and Kildahl finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kildahl lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mad Cow circles away quickly and effectively.

That kick from Mad Cow tenderised Kildahl's leg. Kildahl is trying to keep his angry face on.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
