The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abobo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nordemar defends it nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Abobo is defended easily by Nordemar.
Abobo shoots in for a double leg but Nordemar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tank Abobo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nordemar throws a head kick but Abobo moves out of range.
Abobo misses with a takedown attempt
and Nordemar counters with a head kick that drops Abobo to the mat! Abobo scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abobo blocks a head kick by Nordemar.
Abobo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nordemar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Abobo somewhat.

Abobo gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
