PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sho Shinjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eugene Albright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shinjo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Theme of Sho. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albright misses with a straight right.
Albright shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Shinjo counters with a nice body kick.
Left hook, right uppercut from Shinjo.

It looks like Eugene Albright has been cut.
Shinjo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shinjo throws a head kick but Albright moves out of range.
Albright has his takedown stuffed
and Shinjo counters with a nice leg kick.
Albright looks gassed!
Albright blocks a head kick by Shinjo.
Shinjo throws a head kick that misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shinjo lands a big head kick that sends Albright tumbling to the mat! Shinjo takes a step backwards and waves Albright back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Albright is rocked!
Shinjo lands with a thumping leg kick.
Albright is still on wobbly legs! Can Shinjo finish him?
Shinjo looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Shinjo backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Albright's temple! It sends Albright violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Shinjo celebrates and the doctors try to help Albright!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Sho Shinjo!
An out of breath Sho Shinjo thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
