Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Dobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Dobson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Al Allen!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dobson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Allen.

enabling Allen to counter with a crisp jab.
Allen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Allen throws a jab when Dobson was well out of range.
Dobson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Allen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Allen throws a nice outside leg kick.

Dobson takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Ben Dobson has been cut.

Allen throws out a loose jab but Dobson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Allen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Allen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dobson. That did some damage!

Allen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dobson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Allen's hands.
Allen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dobson.

Allen scores with a crisp jab that stopped Dobson in his tracks.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Dobson looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Allen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Allen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Allen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Allen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Allen lands a lovely overhand right.
Oh Dobson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Allen's corner calls for a 1-2. Allen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Dobson seems to have got his legs back now.

Al Allen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

and Allen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dobson loads up on a big right hand but Allen slips the punch.
Allen throws a right hand that Dobson ducks under and follows up with a left that Dobson also avoids with ease.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dobson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Allen moves away.

and Allen counters with a good low kick that Dobson was not able to check.

And that's the end of the fight!
Al Allen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Allen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
