Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antonio Williams is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antonio Williams!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance.
Burns with a poor takedown

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Burns had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Williams defends it easily.
Williams trying to control but Burns is working from the bottom.
Williams is working Burns over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Burns wants to stand and escape but Williams is having none of it.
Williams with a flurry of punches that miss.
Williams lands a couple of elbows.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Burns looking for a guillotine here but Williams defends easily.

Burns throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Burns looking for a sweep. Not yet Burns, not yet.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Burns holds on and takes a little breather.
Williams working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Burns's head.

Williams drops back looking for a leg! Burns is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Burns manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Burns's guard.
Burns has momentary wrist control but Williams slips an elbow through the middle.

Burns wriggles free and stands up.

Williams looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown but Burns manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Williams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Williams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burns is fending him off so far but Williams persists. Nope, Burns circles away and we're back to standing.
Burns stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Burns wants it to stay on the feet.

Burns tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Williams swivels and escapes.

Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Burns tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Williams instigates a clinch.
Burns tries to stall but Williams uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Burns landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Williams is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Burns to keep the fight standing.

Burns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Williams keeps the fight on the outside.

Williams has a takedown stuffed.
Williams avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Williams keeps the fight on the outside.
Williams fails with the takedown.
Williams tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Antonio Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Burns fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Williams to the ground. Burns is now in Williams's guard.
Burns is pushing down on Williams's leg trying to pass to half guard. Williams is fighting to maintain full guard but Burns has managed to sneak the leg through.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Burns uses his free foot to push down on Williams's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Williams.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Burns throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Burns jumps into guard, dragging Williams to the mat.

Horrible takedown by Burns or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams which made him look bad.
Williams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burns's waist but Burns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williams off to one side.
Williams shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burns defends it nicely.

Burns shoots in for a double leg but Williams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Burns dodges the punch combination from Williams.

Williams throws a push kick but Burns slaps the foot to one side.

Williams lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Burns moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Williams wants to control from the top but Burns keeps moving.

A close second round but Antonio Williams will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Burns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Burns controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Burns has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Burns looking to sit in guard and control but Williams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Williams wants to stand but Burns is controlling his posture from full guard.
Williams wants to control from the top but Burns keeps moving.
Williams works over Burns with some ground and pound from guard.
Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Burns is retaining full guard.

Burns wriggles free and stands up.

Williams shoots in looking for a takedown but Burns manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Williams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Burns moves in looking to clinch but Williams pushes him off.

Burns shoots in and bounces Williams off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Williams pulls Burns in close to prevent any damage.

Burns wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
Williams wants to sweep here but Burns controlling him for the moment.
Antonio Williams is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Williams has his foot on Burns's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Burns works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Burns stays in close to Williams's body and controls the position.
Bobby Burns has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bobby Burns.
I think Williams has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
