The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pantilones paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Pantilones missing with a left hand there. Penn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Penn jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pantilones throws a shot from downtown. Penn moves away and avoids it.
A punch lands to the side of Pantilones 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Pantilones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Penn circles away quickly and effectively.
Penn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pantilones but Pantilones pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Penn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pantilones manages to get himself to full guard.
