Thompson has chosen All In The Family as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penl shoots in for a takedown but Thompson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Penl rushes Thompson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Penl takes an elbow to the forehead.

It looks like Jason Penl has been cut.
Thompson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Penl is looking to break free of the clinch but Thompson has double underhooks.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Thompson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Penl's brow.
