And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Duke Gibbons!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirby avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kirby stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gibbons.
Gibbons throws a body punch but Kirby moves out of range.
Kirby throws a nice inside leg kick.
Gibbons takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kirby avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gibbons darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kirby misses with a low kick.
Kirby takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kirby clinches up against the cage.
Gibbons keeps control of Kirby as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kirby gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kirby just misses with a elbow thrown towards Gibbons's brow.

Gibbons breaks the clinch.
Gibbons blocks a head kick by Kirby.
Gibbons misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kirby.
Stone Kirby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gibbons takes one to the side of the head.
Gibbons misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gibbons stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kirby.
Kirby misses with an attempted mid kick.
Gibbons fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gibbons moves in looking to clinch but Kirby pushes him off.
Gibbons's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kirby connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gibbons scrambles back to his feet.

Kirby throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kirby lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Gibbons is rocked!
Kirby sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Gibbons's defenses. It connects perfectly with Gibbons's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
