The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fleet is looking to clinch.
Silva looks for a takedown but Fleet sprawls well.
Fleet lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Silva is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Fleet breaks the clinch.
Fleet swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
Silva avoids the body shot from Fleet.
Silva moves out of range as Fleet strikes.
Fleet looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Fleet misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely.
Silva should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Silva's corner calls for a 1-2. Silva obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Fleet forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.

Fleet breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Fleet throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease.
Fleet throws a chopping leg kick but Silva manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Fleet tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt - Fleet sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fleet leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Silva shoots in for a double leg but Fleet sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Silva shoots for a takedown but Fleet saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fleet is looking to wear down Silva with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Fleet pushes Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Silva is trying desperately to land a takedown but Fleet is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Silva.
Fleet is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fleet down to the mat. Fleet avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Fleet fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fleet takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses.
Fleet lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Silva out cold! Silva is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
