These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Hathaway counters with a right hand to the body.
Hathaway dives in and grabs Stark's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stark pushes down on Hathaway's head and hops out.
Hathaway takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Hathaway ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stark moves away.
Stark thows a leg kick but Hathaway checks it
and Hathaway counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hathaway shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stark sprawls well. Stark wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hathaway gets slowly back to his feet.
Stark pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
