Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yossi Avitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Bortman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avitan comes into the arena with Tagidi Li Masheu blaring out of the sound system. Yossi Avitan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bortman lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Avitan pushes Bortman away with a front kick.
Bortman scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

and Avitan counters with a nice kick to the body.
Avitan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bortman's calf.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Avitan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Avitan just misses with a punch to the body.
Bortman swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Bortman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Avitan can pounce on him.

Avitan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Avitan throws a sloppy head kick and Bortman moves out of range easily.
Bortman has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Avitan.
Bortman's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Avitan scores with a jab. Bortman acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Bortman jumps guard but Avitan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Bortman looks to score with a jab to the body but Avitan is just out of range.

Bortman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Avitan circles away quickly and effectively.

and Bortman counters with a nice body shot.
Donk. Avitan catches Bortman right on the button with a cross.
Bortman tries a head kick but it misses.
Avitan slips a jab from Bortman.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Avitan tries to land a front kick but Bortman steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Bortman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Avitan lands with a shot to the body.

Bortman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That has opened up Alex Bortman's cut even more.
Avitan scores with a hook to the body. Bortman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Avitan cracks Bortman with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Avitan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bortman to stand back up!
Bortman is rocked!
Bortman throws a sloppy head kick
and Avitan counters with a body kick that stops Bortman in his tracks momentarily.
Bortman is still on wobbly legs! Can Avitan finish him?
Bortman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bortman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Avitan.
Crunch! Avitan slams his shin into Bortman's torso.
Avitan scores with a kick to the body.
Bortman gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Avitan gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yossi Avitan!
