Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nurzhan Ulmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nurzhan Ulmes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bryan Fury!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ulmes lands a jab to the nose.
Ulmes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fury circles away quickly and effectively.
Fury dodges the punch combination from Ulmes.
Fury uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ulmes.

Fury shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ulmes's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Fury controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fury looking to sit in guard and control but Ulmes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fury trying to control the position here.
Fury tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Fury is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Ulmes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ulmes trying to control but Fury is working from the bottom.
Ulmes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fury looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Ulmes tries to stand but Fury is controlling from the bottom.
Fury looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ulmes is one step ahead there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nurzhan Ulmes.

and Fury counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fury.

Fury works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A control attempt from Ulmes but he's now mounted!
Ulmes is looking to improve his position but Fury isn't that keen on the idea.
Fury has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ulmes's face.

Fury fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ulmes in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ulmes defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Fury.

Fury with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fury swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ulmes is now in Fury's guard. A big mistake from Fury there, giving up the dominant position!
Ulmes wants to control from the top but Fury keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Fury dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ulmes swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Fury counters with a takedown into side control.

Fury is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ulmes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Fury stands up.
Ulmes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Ulmes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ulmes throws a right hand that Fury ducks under and follows up with a left that Fury also avoids with ease.
Fury throws a low kick but Ulmes moves out of range easily.

Fury bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fury has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ulmes fails to land with a series of punches.

Ulmes tries to keep at a distance but Fury has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ulmes working hard to break the clinch.

Fury's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ulmes pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fury back to the cage. Ulmes follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ulmes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fury moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ulmes throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

so Fury counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fury drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ulmes dives on top into guard.
Ulmes being controlled here momentarily.

Fury has a closed guard, preventing Ulmes from standing up.
Fury pulls Ulmes in close to prevent any damage.
Ulmes looking to sit in guard and control but Fury gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fury wants to pass the guard but Ulmes is keeping the position.

Fury thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Fury works over Ulmes with some ground and pound from guard.
Ulmes wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Fury is now in half guard.

Fury is working for a kimura but Ulmes is defending it quite comfortably.
Fury seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ulmes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fury is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ulmes sees it coming and defends easily.
Ulmes is trying to control but can't.
Fury sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ulmes defending well though.
Fury throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fury works his foot free and advances to mount.
Fury landing strikes, looking to finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bryan Fury showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Ulmes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Fury shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ulmes is trying to defend but Fury finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Fury is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ulmes defends it well.
Fury wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ulmes keeps working.

Fury is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Fury throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ulmes blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fury.
Ulmes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fury passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ulmes!

Nurzhan Ulmes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ulmes tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bryan Fury has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fury looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Fury is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ulmes can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Fury jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ulmes manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fury working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Fury is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fury is looking to take a break and control but Ulmes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fury misses with the ground and pound.
Ulmes tries to improve position but can't.
Fury controlling the position from side mount.
Fury lands a decent elbow from side control.

Fury is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ulmes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ulmes is not content to let Fury control the position.
Ulmes tries to bench press Fury off him but Fury keeps the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fury in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Bryan Fury is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Fury tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fury has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

And that's the end of the fight!
Bryan Fury comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Fury winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
