Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Who Cares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomato Can (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cares comes to the cage accompanied by Shogun Named Marcus. Tomato Can is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Who Cares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomato Can!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cares misses with a series of wild punches.
Cares scores with a crisp jab that stopped Can in his tracks.
Cares throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cares avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cares scores with a jab to the jaw.

Can shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cares's guard.
Cares looking for a sweep. Not yet Cares, not yet.
Can showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Can loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Cares tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Can distracts Cares with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Cares looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Can is stalling in the full guard.
Can in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Can landing some decent shots from guard.
Can stands and throws Cares's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cares gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Can seems content to control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Can connects with a nice short shot to Cares's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Can takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Can seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Cares actively working from the bottom here.
Can looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cares with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Can not doing much here.
Let's hope that Can has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Can tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cares knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Can has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cares is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Can blocks the strikes from Cares.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Can is controlling the pace.
Can landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Cares gets back to full guard.

Cares looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Cares tries to buck Can off but Can is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tomato Can just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Can throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
An inside leg kick lands from Cares.
Can tries to clinch there but Cares circles away.
A punch combination from Cares misses.
Can shoots in but no luck this time.
Cares fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cares throws a right hand that Can ducks under and follows up with a left that Can also avoids with ease.
Cares throws a head kick that misses.
Can tries for a takedown but Cares sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cares misses with a low kick.
Can on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cares. Cares obviously looking to wear him down.
Can just misses with a punch to the body.

Can shoots in and bounces Cares off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cares wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tomato Can dominated that round.
That's time! Cares's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Can throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Can gets the takedown into side control.
Can works to advance to full mount. Cares defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Can pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Cares really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Can controlling from mount.
Can scoring with strikes but Cares is staying in there.
Cares is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Cares is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Can scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Cares?


It looks like Who Cares has been cut.
Cares is looking to get to half guard.
Can landing strikes from the mount and Cares is in trouble!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Can connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Cares is rocked!
Can is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cares can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Oh Cares is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tomato Can has got the better of the ground game so far.

Cares cracks Can with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Cares will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Can lands a nice shot to the body.
Cares throws a series of punches but Can moves out of range.
Who Cares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cares throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cares misses with a double jab.

and Can moves into the clinch.
The referee calls for Can to work.
Can wants a takedown.

Cares prevents the takedown attempt.
Who Cares has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomato Can.

Cares breaks from the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Can is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cares gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Can makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Can takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Can decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Cares is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Can's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Can's back!

Tomato Can showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Cares lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A left and a right from Cares both land. Nice combination.

Cares rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Can moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Can darts in and clinches Cares up against the cage.
Cares tries to break the clinch but Can is controlling the position.
Cares wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Can goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cares prevents it.
Can keeps control of Cares as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cares wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

and Can counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Can.

Who Cares has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomato Can.
Can takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Cares tries to break the clinch but Can is controlling the position.
Cares is pressed up against the cage. Can has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cares down to the mat. Cares avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Cares dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Can. That did some damage!
Cares lands with a nice combination. Can backs away looking to recover.
Cares connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Cares rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Can moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cares throws a series of punches but Can avoids them all with ease.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cares, as that shot connected.
Can throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cares throws a series of strikes that have Can backpedaling.

BOOM! Can connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Who Cares's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Who Cares's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
