Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jc Bowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Hodge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hodge misses with the combination.
Bowen throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Frank Hodge has been cut.
Bowen moves into the clinch.
Hodge has had enough of the clinch but Bowen keeps him there for the moment.
Hodge is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Hodge is pressed up against the cage. Bowen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hodge down to the mat. Hodge avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Bowen shoots in and bounces Hodge off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hodge wants to get back to his feet but Bowen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bowen passes Hodge's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bowen lands a nice short elbow.

Bowen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Well, if Bowen is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jc Bowen.
Bowen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Hodge is defending against the submission attempts here by Bowen.
Bowen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bowen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The cut man is working on Frank Hodge's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hodge misses with a combination
and Bowen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bowen jumps guard but Hodge stands there with Bowen around his waist. Bowen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bowen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hodge's efforts to push away.
Bowen goes for a takedown attempt but Hodge pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bowen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hodge pinned against the cage. Hodge gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hodge darts in and clinches Bowen up against the cage.
Bowen prevents Hodge from breaking the clinch.
Bowen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hodge just stands there and leans against the cage.

Bowen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hodge is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hodge wants to break free but Bowen has control.
Hodge wants to get back to striking at distance but Bowen won't allow it.
Bowen has Hodge pressed against the cage, preventing Hodge from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hodge stalling.

Bowen gets control of Hodge's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bowen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bowen is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hodge throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bowen's body to avoid the submission. Bowen has instead reached around Hodge's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bowen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
