The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lakay fails to land the takedown.
Lakay scores with a body shot.
Overeem is looking to chop away at Lakay's legs.
Overeem misses with a looping left.
Lakay shoots in for a takedown but Overeem shows good takedown defense.
Lakay displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Overeem throws out the jab.
Marc Jay Lakay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Overeem missing with a left hand there. Lakay was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Overeem attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Lakay shoots for a takedown but Overeem saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lakay ducks straight into an uppercut from Overeem and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Lakay manages to regain guard straight away.
