The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kashitarou uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Alminglikish.
Alminglikish throws a push kick but Kashitarou slaps the foot to one side.
Kashitarou closes the distance but Alminglikish moves to the side
and Alminglikish counters with a left and a right that stings Kashitarou.
Alminglikish lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kashitarou circles away quickly and effectively.
Kashitarou tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Alminglikish manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from Alminglikish. Those never looked like landing.
Kashitarou moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kashitarou shoots and misses
and Kashitarou takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kashitarou shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Alminglikish controls Kashitarou momentarily but Kashitarou frees himself.
Alminglikish knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kashitarou on the ground.
Alminglikish wants to stand but Kashitarou is controlling the position.
Kashitarou pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alminglikish is keeping the position for now.
Kashitarou slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Kashitarou is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Alminglikish is trying to escape and Kashitarou transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Alminglikish is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kashitarou! Very nice indeed!
