Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wade Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phoenix Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is wanted dead or alive. Valentine has chosen Liquid Tension Experiment - Acid Rain as his entrance music. Phoenix Valentine has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker throws a half hearted mid kick.

Valentine fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Walker to the ground. Valentine is now in Walker's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Valentine wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.

Walker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Valentine gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Valentine is looking to work some ground and pound but Walker has wrist control.

Walker is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Valentine working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Walker's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Valentine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Walker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Valentine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Valentine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Valentine looks up at the clock and then as Walker takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Valentine smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
