Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rayle Amot Abdalla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob Snapp!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abdalla clinches with his opponent.
Snapp stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Abdalla manages to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Abdalla pulls Snapp in to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Abdalla wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bob Snapp was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Abdalla has taken the fight to the clinch.
A short right from Snapp on the inside.
Snapp wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Abdalla jumps guard.

Abdalla throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Snapp tries to stand but Abdalla is controlling from the bottom.

Abdalla looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Abdalla managing to control the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rayle Amot Abdalla.
The fighters circling - Snapp throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Abdalla rushes Snapp and presses him up against the cage.
Snapp wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Abdalla pushes Snapp back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Bob Snapp has been cut.
Snapp misses with some punches.

Abdalla manages to pull guard.
Abdalla seems keen to control Snapp's posture.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Abdalla walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Snapp misses with a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Snapp scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Abdalla tries to clinch up but Snapp circles away and keeps his distance.

Abdalla closes the distance and clinches.
Abdalla keeps control of Snapp as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Abdalla jumps guard and drags Snapp to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abdalla lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Snapp!
Abdalla seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Snapp is holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rayle Amot Abdalla dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bob Snapp's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Snapp throws a right hand that Abdalla ducks under and follows up with a left that Abdalla also avoids with ease.

Abdalla instigates a clinch.

Abdalla decides to pull guard.
Snapp really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Abdalla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Snapp stopping the sweep attempt from Abdalla.
Abdalla looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bob Snapp hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Abdalla misses with a hook
and Snapp cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Snapp is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Abdalla fails in his attempt to clinch.

Abdalla has taken the fight to the clinch.

Abdalla has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Snapp uses from the top position.
Abdalla wants to sweep here but Snapp controlling him for the moment.
Abdalla seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rayle Amot Abdalla wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Abdalla tries to clinch up.

Horrible takedown by Abdalla or perhaps it was just good defense by Snapp which made him look bad.

Abdalla is looking to clinch but Snapp is avoiding it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Snapp. That's going to slow Abdalla down.
Snapp lands a nice shot to the body.
Snapp defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Abdalla.

Snapp lands a high kick!

Abdalla pulls Snapp in close to his closed guard and prevents Snapp from doing any damage or advancing position.

Snapp misses with the head strike.

Abdalla blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Snapp misses with a short punch on the inside.
Abdalla lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Snapp doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Snapp misses with a body punch.

Abdalla has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Snapp uses from the top position.
Abdalla wants to sweep here but Snapp controlling him for the moment.

Snapp is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Abdalla has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Snapp is looking to defend but Abdalla has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Snapp! Abdalla pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Snapp taps out and this one is all over!
