Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Goldman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Baal Evans!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Evans as he avoids it easily.
Evans lands with an overhand left.

Goldman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evans keeps working.
Evans looks like he's trying to stand up.
Evans tries to roll over but Goldman keeps him under control.
Goldman wants to pass the guard but Evans is defending well.
Goldman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Evans's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Evans tries to kick Goldman off but Goldman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Evans can do anything to dispel that myth.
Goldman wants to stand up but Evans has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Evans tries to get to full guard but Goldman has control of the leg.

Goldman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Evans sees it coming and defends easily.

Evans looks like he's trying to stand up.
Goldman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Evans does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Evans tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Goldman trying to mount his opponent but Evans defends it.
Evans looks like he's trying to stand up.

Goldman in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Evans tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Goldman!
