Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cj Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Carnitine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carnitine is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Doro Pesch and Udo Dirkschneider covering Breaking the Law. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carnitine. That did some damage!
Riley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carnitine.

Carnitine moves into the clinch successfully.
Carnitine wants to break the clinch but can't.
Carnitine can't break the clinch.

Riley throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carnitine blocks it with crossed arms.
Carnitine tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Riley smiles and moves away.

Carnitine misses with a series of wild punches.
Carnitine scores with a jab to the body.
Carnitine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Riley tries to avoid it but Carnitine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Riley to the ground. Riley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Carnitine tries to close the distance and clinch but Riley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Riley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Carnitine manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Riley is working Carnitine over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carnitine pushes Riley off looking to stand but Riley dives back in and keeps control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Riley feints a jab promting Carnitine to slip. Riley then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Carnitine slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Carnitine closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carnitine lands in his opponent's guard.

Carnitine is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Riley defends well.

Carnitine drops back, looking for a kneebar! Riley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Riley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Riley!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Riley thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
