Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genival Lacerda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Genival Lacerda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albert Fish!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Genival Lacerda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lacerda will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Lacerda has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fish regains guard immediately.
Fish is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lacerda wants to control from the top but Fish keeps moving.
Fish really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lacerda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lacerda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fish's waist but Fish gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lacerda off to one side.

Fish is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fish is working an open guard so Lacerda takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lacerda shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fish as he jumps to the side.

Fish scores with a one two! Lacerda had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lacerda fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fish avoids it really well and circles away.

Lacerda uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fish.

Lacerda manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fish on his heels. He'll look to pass Fish's guard now, I'm sure.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fish can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fish is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Lacerda off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
