The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carson throws the kick towards the body but Orton avoids it.
Left hook, right uppercut from Carson.

It looks like Randy Orton has been cut.
Carson throws a head kick that misses.
Orton throws a jab when Carson was well out of range.
Carson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Orton.
Orton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Orton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carson avoids it really well and circles away.
Orton ducks under a wild hook from Carson.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Orton lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Carson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
No joy there for Carson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Orton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carson.
Orton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carson was well out of range. Poor timing from Orton.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Orton checks a leg kick.

Carson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Orton lands a huge takedown. Carson is out but the ref is slow to react and Orton lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Carson lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Randy Orton decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
