Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cabbage Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nosferatu Zodd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zodd fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Face throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zodd was covering up waiting for the punch and Face finishes the takedown easily into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Face decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Zodd tries to close the distance and clinch up but Face swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Zodd is trying hard to land a takedown here. Face sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Zodd closes the distance and pushes Face back into the cage.
Face is working for takedown but Zodd is calmly controlling the position for now.
Zodd trying to stall but Face improves his position.
Face is trying to drag Zodd to the mat but Zodd just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Face misses with a short punch on the inside.

Face is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Face has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Zodd avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Zodd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Face paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nosferatu Zodd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Face looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Face counters with a single leg into guard. Zodd didn't expect that.
Face in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Face prevents Zodd from getting back to his feet.
Zodd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Face. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Face has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Face stands and steps away. Zodd gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Zodd wants to clinch up but Face keeps it at a distance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Face is nestled in close to Zodd, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Zodd tries to roll over but Face keeps him under control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zodd pushes Face off looking to stand but Face dives back in and keeps control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Face is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Zodd can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Face cracks Zodd with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Zodd tries to lock up and control but Face gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Face cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The referee warns Zodd that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Face looking for a guillotine from mount but Zodd is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Zodd tries to hold on but Face pushes him away.

Face is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Zodd to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Zodd shrugs it off.

Zodd's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Face shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zodd but Zodd pushes him off and we're back to square one.

BOOM! Face connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Face is landing with some decent strikes but Zodd is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Face has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Zodd's face.
Zodd takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Face lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Zodd is trying desperately to improve position.
