Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buzz Lightyear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Awa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo Awa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lightyear fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lightyear tries to clinch but Awa is having none of it.
Awa lands a head kick!

It looks like Buzz Lightyear has been cut.
Awa throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
No luck for Lightyear with that takedown attempt.
Lightyear shoots for a double leg takedown but Awa sprawls well. He's pushed Lightyear's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buzz Lightyear. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lightyear fails to land the takedown.
Lightyear doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Awa counters with a leg kick.
Buzz Lightyear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lightyear fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lightyear takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lightyear is breathing heavily.
Lightyear shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Awa but Awa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lightyear tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Awa counters with a two punch combo.

Awa buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Awa looks to land a combination. Lightyear sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Lightyear chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Awa can pounce on him.
Awa lands with an overhand left.
Awa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Awa.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Awa lands a nice looking kick to the body. Lightyear takes a step back to recover.
Awa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lightyear.
Awa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Awa explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Some wild striking there from Awa.
Awa looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Lightyear closes this distance looking for a takedown but Awa circles away.
Awa throws a shot to the body.

Awa digs a good body shot into Lightyear's ribs.
Awa feints a jab promting Lightyear to slip. Awa then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lightyear slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Lightyear is rocked!
Lightyear wants to stay close but Awa steps back to make room for something. Lightyear seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Awa and Lightyear drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
