Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasashi fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith throws a poor cross that misses
and Hasashi counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith.
Hasashi tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Smith working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
An elbow from Smith crashes against the mat.
Smith wants to control but Hasashi is keeping him busy.
Hasashi is trying to buck Smith off.

Smith tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hasashi keeps working.
Hasashi tries to buck Smith off but Smith is having none of it.
Hasashi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Smith is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hasashi has escaped the position, nice work there.

Hasashi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hasashi wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away.

Smith goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hasashi is on top in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dean Smith wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Hasashi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Smith looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hasashi misses with a head kick.
A combination from Hasashi does no damage.
Hasashi keeps the fight on the outside.
Smith dodges the punch combination from Hasashi.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hasashi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dean Smith dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hasashi lands a high kick!
Hasashi looks to throw the jab but Smith is out of range.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hasashi as he jumps to the side.

Hasashi lands a head kick. Smith smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hasashi scores with a head kick. Smith tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Smith tries to clinch up.

Smith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Smith controlling the pace.

Hasashi is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Smith has latched onto it... Big trouble! Smith pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Hasashi is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Smith!
