Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Hanks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Grand Magus - Hammer of the North. Hanks has chosen AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanks with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Smith to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Fred Hanks has been cut.
Hanks takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Smith connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Donk. Smith catches Hanks right on the button with a cross.

Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The cut above Fred Hanks's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hanks walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Fred Hanks's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Hanks looks to throw the jab but Smith is out of range.

Hanks takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
