Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bublasaur Venusaur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Venusaur's entrance music is Bulbasaur bongo bebop. A fine choice. Gunn comes into a darkened arena with his song building. England belongs to me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venusaur has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gunn.
Venusaur takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ray Gunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunn throws a sloppy head kick and Venusaur moves out of range easily.
Gunn misses with a hook.
Venusaur closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Venusaur swings wildly with an uppercut but Gunn uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gunn is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Gunn pushes off an throws an elbow but Venusaur leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Venusaur wants to break the clinch but can't.

Gunn tries a knee to the head but Venusaur blocks it.
Venusaur pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Venusaur drives through and clinches with Gunn against the cage.

Venusaur escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gunn throws the kick towards the body but Venusaur avoids it.

Good leg kick by Gunn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Venusaur scores with a counter punch that sends Gunn to the canvas! Venusaur smells blood - he's punishing Gunn with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Gunn has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
