Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva rushes Away and presses him up against the cage.
Silva is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Away is defending well for now.
Silva lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Away is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Silva breaks from the clinch.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Away.
Away tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.
Away looks to clinch

and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Away is trying to keep Silva in close.

Silva is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Away thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Away will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Away looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.
Silva is stalling in the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Negrete Silva.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Away moves out of range easily.

Silva moves into the clinch.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Away shoots in.
Negrete Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Away.
Negrete Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maubee Away.
Away shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Away's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Away is defended easily by Silva.
Away misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Away trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.

Away is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Away slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Away looking for a triangle here. Silva is fighting it but it looks tight! Away pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Silva is tapping out - this one is all over!
