The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Killer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Verchanko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Killer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Killer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Verchanko closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Killer misses with a double jab.

Verchanko lands a left and a right that send Killer crashing to the mat, dazed. Verchanko thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Killer is rocked!

It looks like Jake Killer has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Killer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Verchanko.
Verchanko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Verchanko lands with a hook. Killer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Killer is still on wobbly legs! Can Verchanko finish him?
Killer misses with a series of wild punches.
Verchanko throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Killer seems to have recovered his senses.
Verchanko slips a jab and a cross from Killer.
Verchanko fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Verchanko connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Killer's hands.
Verchanko changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Killer looks gassed!
Killer dodges the punch combination from Verchanko.
Verchanko tries to bum rush Killer with a series of wild strikes but Killer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Verchanko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Killer.

Killer throws a right hand that Verchanko ducks under and follows up with a left that Verchanko also avoids with ease.
Killer misses with a wild combination.
Verchanko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Killer circles away quickly and effectively.
Killer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Verchanko scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Verchanko lands a big right hook! Killer looks hurt but is still standing! Verchanko lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Killer falls down and Verchanko dives in with a huge hammer fist! Killer's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Verchanko runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

After the fight, Ivan Verchanko was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
