Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alan Donald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jethro Sherdog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan Donald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jethro Sherdog!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherdog leaves Donald with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sherdog changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Donald tries to avoid it but Sherdog manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Donald to the ground. Donald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Donald throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sherdog's waist but Sherdog gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Donald off to one side.
Sherdog shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Donald as he avoids it easily.
Donald fails in his attempt to clinch.

Sherdog closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Donald to the mat! Donald manages to get full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Donald escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sherdog gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sherdog passes into half guard.
Donald wants to improve his position but Sherdog is controlling well.

Sherdog is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Donald is surviving well by controlling Sherdog's body position as best he can.

Sherdog is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Donald can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sherdog has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sherdog has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Donald can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Donald is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
