Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brandon Uteer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Valera Kamenskiy!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Uteer. No joy for Kamenskiy on that attempt.
Uteer misses with a low kick as Kamenskiy jumps back.
Uteer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kamenskiy circles away.
Uteer is breathing heavily.
Uteer shoots in looking for a takedown. Kamenskiy tries to sprawl out of it but Uteer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kamenskiy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kamenskiy lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Brandon Uteer has been cut.
Brandon Uteer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kamenskiy moves into the clinch.

Kamenskiy manages to pull guard.
Kamenskiy is pulling down on Uteer's head. It's preventing any offense from Uteer, at least for the moment.
Uteer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kamenskiy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Uteer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kamenskiy pushes Uteer off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
An inside leg kick lands from Kamenskiy.

Kamenskiy clinches up with Uteer and pushes him back against the cage.

Kamenskiy pulls guard effortlessly.

Kamenskiy looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kamenskiy is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Let's hope that Kamenskiy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kamenskiy scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Kamenskiy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Uteer to the ground. Kamenskiy is now in Uteer's guard.
Uteer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Uteer tries to get out of the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Uteer looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kamenskiy has picked Uteer up and slammed him! Uteer can't keep hold of the triangle and Kamenskiy manages to pass to side control!

Kamenskiy looks up at the clock and then as Uteer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kamenskiy smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kamenskiy controls the position.
Kamenskiy is looking to take a break and control but Uteer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Uteer is looking for a sweep.
Kamenskiy lands a decent elbow from side control.
Uteer seems a little lost for a moment, as Kamenskiy dominates the positioning.
Uteer struggling a bit here.
Kamenskiy trying to control the action but Uteer is working from the bottom.

Kamenskiy decides to stand back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Uteer closes the distance and clinches up with Kamenskiy, looking for a takedown. Uteer pushes Kamenskiy against the cage but Kamenskiy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Uteer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kamenskiy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Uteer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kamenskiy has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kamenskiy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kamenskiy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kamenskiy decides to stand back up. Kamenskiy steps back and let's Uteer get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Valera Kamenskiy dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Brandon Uteer's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kamenskiy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Uteer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kamenskiy.
Brandon Uteer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Uteer gets caught flat footed, as Kamenskiy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kamenskiy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Uteer, up you get!
Uteer takes a kick to the side of the head.
Kamenskiy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kamenskiy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kamenskiy wants to take a breather but Uteer is having none of it.

Kamenskiy passes to full mount!
Kamenskiy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kamenskiy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Uteer looks a forlorn figure.
Kamenskiy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kamenskiy is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Uteer is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Uteer flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Kamenskiy anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Uteer and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Kamenskiy slips an arm under Uteer chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Kamenskiy has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Kamenskiy is squeezing on Uteer like an anaconda would it's prey. Uteer fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Valera Kamenskiy!
Valera Kamenskiy took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
