Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frederico Vergara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maubee Away (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vergara comes to the cage accompanied by Bully. Away is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rude Boy Dreams. On his way into the cage it seems that Frederico Vergara has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Frederico Vergara seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vergara closes the distance and pushes Away back into the cage.
Away is trying to drag Vergara to the mat but Vergara just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Vergara is stalling here.
Away has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vergara avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Vergara breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Vergara throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Away takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Vergara has managed to clinch.

Vergara pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Vergara closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Away to the mat! Away manages to get full guard.
Vergara postures up.

Away looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Vergara is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Vergara landing with the ground and pound.
Away trying to control the position.
Away has a closed guard, preventing Vergara from standing up.

Vergara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Away has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vergara has managed to get both his arms back between Away's legs - danger averted.
Vergara controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Frederico Vergara wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Vergara lands with a right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Away avoids the head kick by Vergara.
Away tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vergara swivels and escapes.
Frederico Vergara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maubee Away.

Vergara rushes Away and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Vergara pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vergara lands a head kick!

Vergara drives through with a takedown into Away's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Vergara knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Away on the ground.

Vergara stays in close to Away's body and controls the position.
Away throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Away is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Vergara has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Away is trying to keep Vergara in close.
Vergara works over Away with some ground and pound from guard.

Away looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Vergara is defending well. Away quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Vergara has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Away celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
