Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Colby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maciej Gorski!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Colby shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gorski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Colby's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Colby's back!
Colby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Colby feints and as Gorski raises his hands in defense, Colby changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Colby stands up and waves to Gorski to follow him.
Colby leaves Gorski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gorski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Colby's waist but Colby gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gorski off to one side.
Gorski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Gorski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Colby avoids it really well and circles away.
Colby dives in and grabs Gorski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gorski pushes down on Colby's head and hops out.

Colby seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gorski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gorski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Colby is looking for a kimura here.

Colby wants to free his trapped foot but Gorski is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Colby decides to stand back up. Colby steps back and let's Gorski get back to his feet.
Colby will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gorski is cranking Colby's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Colby! He's tightened the choke and Colby is tapping out!
