Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Zeroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hector Zeroni has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Zeroni!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeroni shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense.
Jackson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into Zeroni's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Zeroni looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jackson stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Jackson closes the distance and pushes Zeroni back into the cage.

Zeroni's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jackson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Zeroni's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zeroni is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Zeroni throws a strike aimed at the side of Jackson's head but Jackson avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zeroni is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jackson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zeroni wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jackson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Zeroni tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Zeroni fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Christopher Jackson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jackson shoots in and drives through. Zeroni sprawls well.
Zeroni is looking to land body kicks.

Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Zeroni's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zeroni has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Zeroni's legs - danger averted.

Jackson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zeroni defends well.

Jackson is looking for a triangle but Zeroni pushes his legs off easily.
Zeroni wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zeroni gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Zeroni stands and steps away. Jackson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jackson shoots in but no luck this time.
Zeroni tries a head kick but it misses.
Zeroni keeps the fight on the outside.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.

The fight stays on the outside here - Zeroni looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Zeroni throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.

Jackson is trying to pull guard but Zeroni turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jackson is working for a kimura but Zeroni is defending it quite comfortably.
Zeroni looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher Jackson dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zeroni avoids it really well and circles away.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Zeroni, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Zeroni against the cage but Zeroni circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Zeroni is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Jackson with him. Jackson is trying to defend but Zeroni has an arm under the chin now! Jackson grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hector Zeroni!
