Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rap Reiplinger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dan Steele!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Reiplinger misses with a few strikes there.
Steele throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reiplinger.
Reiplinger blocks a head kick by Steele.
Reiplinger connects with the punch.
Reiplinger swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Steele.
Reiplinger just misses with a punch to the body.
Reiplinger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Reiplinger throws a strike but Steele rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Reiplinger looking for a guillotine here but Steele defends easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reiplinger looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Reiplinger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Steele trying to stand up but can't free himself from Reiplinger's guard.
Reiplinger looking for a guillotine here but Steele defends easily.
Reiplinger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steele gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Reiplinger has his foot on Steele's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Steele works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steele trying to control the position from guard on top but Reiplinger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Steele is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Reiplinger has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Steele is looking to defend but Reiplinger has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Steele! Reiplinger pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Steele taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rap Reiplinger!
In his post fight interview, Rap Reiplinger gave a big smile as he said 'not only did I win, but I'm pretty sure I gave him herpes!! POI DOGGGG!!!!'.
