Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stick Ytick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles Brand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stick Ytick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Miles Brand!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ytick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Brand closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ytick did well to prevent Brand getting side control.
Brand not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ytick wants to control but Brand is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Brand missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Brand thows a huge punch but Ytick dodges it nicely.
Ytick tries to kick Brand off but Brand keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Brand looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ytick with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Brand is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ytick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brand.

Brand seems to be looking for submissions.

Brand looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ytick with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ytick on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brand is working for a submission of some sort.

Brand is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ytick is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Brand throwing shots but Ytick is blocking nicely.

Brand works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Ytick is looking to regain half guard here but Brand keeps moving and retains side control.

Ytick is trying to control Brand's posture but Brand avoids it.

Ytick is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brand's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Brand is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ytick is just riding it out for now. Brand eventually gives up the hold.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ytick shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brand as he jumps to the side.
Miles Brand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brand shoots in but Ytick avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ytick slaps away a takedown attempt from Brand, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Brand shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ytick as he jumps to the side.
Stick Ytick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miles Brand.

Brand leaves Ytick with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Brand shoots in looking for a takedown. Ytick tries to sprawl out of it but Brand keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ytick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Brand looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Brand changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ytick tries to avoid it but Brand manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ytick to the ground. Ytick escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Brand throws a strike but Ytick rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Brand is looking to stand up but Ytick isn't so interested in that idea.
Brand bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ytick's guard.

Ytick trying to keep a closed guard but Brand is proving a slippery customer.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brand throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brand's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Ytick wants to sweep here but Brand controlling him for the moment.

Ytick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brand on the ground.

Brand drops back looking for a leg! Ytick is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ytick manages to kick Brand off! Brand jumps back into Ytick's guard.

Brand sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ytick's guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brand connects with a nice short shot to Ytick's temple.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Miles Brand showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Ytick stuffs the takedown attempt from Brand. Brand gets slowly back to his feet.
Ytick shoots for a double leg takedown but Brand sprawls well. He's pushed Ytick's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ytick shoots in looking for a takedown. Brand tries to sprawl out of it but Ytick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brand manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ytick dives in and grabs Brand's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brand pushes down on Ytick's head and hops out.

Ytick closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Brand makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brand.
Brand seems keen to control Ytick's posture.

Ytick trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Brand bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ytick's guard.
Ytick is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Brand postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ytick is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brand, into his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brand is on top in guard.
Stick Ytick has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Brand is pushing down on Ytick's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ytick is fighting to maintain full guard but Brand has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brand cracks Ytick with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Brand is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ytick can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Brand has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
