Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Georgi Barnettov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnettov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Thomas to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Thomas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Brandon Thomas wasn't active enough on the ground.

Thomas closes the distance and pushes Barnettov back into the cage.

Barnettov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Thomas is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Thomas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Thomas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Barnettov can't fight it off and eventually Thomas manages to take the fight to the floor. Barnettov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
