Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Espinosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Espinosa comes to the cage accompanied by It was Jesus by Johnny Cash. Morgan has chosen Dexter's Theme as his entrance music. Jesus Espinosa had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dexter Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Espinosa scores with a three punch combo!

Espinosa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Morgan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Espinosa is in Morgan's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Morgan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Espinosa trying to control but Morgan is working from the bottom.
Espinosa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Espinosa throws an elbow that misses. Morgan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Espinosa's guard. Nice move by Morgan!
Morgan tries to free his leg and advance position but Espinosa is retaining full guard.

Morgan drops back looking for a leg! Espinosa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Espinosa manages to kick Morgan off! Morgan jumps back into Espinosa's guard.

Espinosa wants to stand but Morgan is controlling the position.
Morgan wants to control from the top but Espinosa keeps moving.
Morgan is fighting to break Espinosa's control of his arms but Espinosa is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Espinosa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Morgan is one step ahead there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Espinosa moves into range and clinches up with Morgan.
Espinosa is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Morgan is defending well.

Morgan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Espinosa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Morgan pulls Espinosa in close to his closed guard and prevents Espinosa from doing any damage or advancing position.

Morgan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Espinosa stalks Morgan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Morgan's face. Morgan staggers backwards, shaken.
Morgan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Espinosa was well out of range. Poor timing from Morgan.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Espinosa scores with a one two! Morgan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Morgan shoots in for a takedown but Espinosa shows good takedown defense.
Morgan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Morgan tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Espinosa counters with a head kick.
Morgan misses with a double jab
and Espinosa counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Morgan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Morgan misses with an uppercut. Espinosa saw that one coming.
Espinosa connects with a leg kick. Morgan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Morgan misses with the combination.
Morgan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A combination from Espinosa does no damage.
Morgan tries to bum rush Espinosa with a series of wild strikes but Espinosa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Morgan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Morgan doesn't manage to clinch there - Espinosa circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Espinosa bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Morgan's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Espinosa stuns Morgan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Morgan thows a body shot but no joy.
Morgan wants to clinch.
Morgan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Morgan jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Espinosa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Morgan!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morgan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Espinosa lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Espinosa wants to control the pace but Morgan is squirming around nicely.

Morgan is looking to improve his position but Espinosa isn't that keen on the idea.
Jesus Espinosa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Espinosa scoring with strikes but Morgan is staying in there.
Espinosa loads up with a big shot that hurts Morgan! He's pulled Espinosa in close but Espinosa has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Morgan survive? More strikes from Espinosa and Morgan is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jesus Espinosa!
Jesus Espinosa decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
