Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie The Whip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dakota Hayes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Reggie The Whip!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hayes shoots for a takedown but The Whip saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The Whip tries to clinch but Hayes moves out of range.
The Whip shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hayes pinned against the cage. Hayes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hayes throws a sloppy head kick and The Whip moves out of range easily.
Hayes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Whip tries to avoid it but Hayes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Whip to the ground. The Whip escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hayes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hayes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. The Whip manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The Whip keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dakota Hayes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hayes doesn't manage to clinch there - The Whip circles away.

Hayes is refusing to be controlled, as The Whip sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Whip is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hayes has managed to free his arm - good work.

The Whip moves nicely into side control.
The Whip is looking to take a break and control but Hayes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The Whip has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The Whip fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hayes, pushing him back against the cage.
Hayes tries to pull guard but The Whip won't allow it.

The Whip pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The Whip shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hayes sprawls well. Hayes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Whip gets slowly back to his feet.
The Whip tries to clinch but Hayes moves out of range.
The Whip fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hayes avoids it really well and circles away.

and The Whip counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hayes works The Whip's body with a nice hook.
The Whip fails to land the takedown.
Hayes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but The Whip swivels and escapes.
Hayes has a takedown stuffed.

Hayes keeps the fight on the outside.
The Whip fails to land with a series of punches.

The Whip looking to score a takedown here. Hayes is defending well but The Whip drives through and ends up in Hayes's guard.

The Whip got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hayes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, The Whip has managed to get both his arms back between Hayes's legs - danger averted.

The Whip wants to pass the guard but Hayes is keeping the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hayes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Dakota Hayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggie The Whip.
Hayes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around The Whip's waist but The Whip gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hayes off to one side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The Whip dives in and grabs Hayes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hayes pushes down on The Whip's head and hops out.
The Whip wants to clinch up but Hayes keeps it at a distance.
Hayes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Whip tries to avoid it but Hayes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Whip to the ground. The Whip escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The Whip shoots in and bounces Hayes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Reggie The Whip hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hayes shoots in for a takedown but The Whip shows good takedown defense.
Dakota Hayes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The Whip shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hayes as he jumps to the side.

Hayes takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

The Whip feints and as Hayes raises his hands in defense, The Whip changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Reggie The Whip has got the better of the ground game so far.

The Whip would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The Whip won't allow Hayes to sweep him here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Reggie The Whip showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hayes closes the distance and clinches up with The Whip, looking for a takedown. Hayes pushes The Whip against the cage but The Whip circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The Whip shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hayes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The Whip won't allow Hayes to get back to his feet.

The Whip is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The Whip not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hayes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hayes wants it to stay on the feet.

The Whip is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The Whip is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hayes defends it well.

The Whip is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hayes sees it coming and defends easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Reggie The Whip comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well The Whip has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
