The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Block shoots in looking for a takedown. Givens tries to sprawl out of it but Block keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Givens manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Givens drives through with a takedown into Block's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Givens tries to stand but Block is controlling from the bottom.
Block is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Givens frees his head nicely. Oh but Block has switched to an armbar! Givens is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
