PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jukko Hamalainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hamalainen comes into the arena with the Finnish National Anthem blaring out of the sound system. Slater has chosen Saliva - Ladies and Gentlemen as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jukko Hamalainen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Slater!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater throws out a leg kick but Hamalainen moves out of range and Slater only half commits.
Slater moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Jukko Hamalainen has been cut.
Slater moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Slater lands a big head kick that sends Hamalainen tumbling to the mat! Slater takes a step backwards and waves Hamalainen back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slater takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hamalainen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hamalainen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hamalainen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hamalainen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Slater.

Oooooh!!! Slater has knocked Hamalainen down with a huge combo! Slater steps away and waves a wobbly Hamalainen back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Hamalainen is rocked!
Slater weaves into range and cracks Hamalainen right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Hamalainen goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Slater is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Slater!
