Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lobo Go (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Tide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Tide!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Go fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tide tries for a takedown but Go sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tide misses with a combination

and Go counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Tide looking for a sweep. Not yet Tide, not yet.
Go stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tide swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tide is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Go is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Go stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Go shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tide is trying to defend but Go finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Go is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lobo Go has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Tide throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Go's waist but Go gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tide off to one side.

Go throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tide.
Tide shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Go as he jumps to the side.
Lobo Go has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Tide.

It looks like Nick Tide has been cut.

Go moves into the clinch.
Go prevents a takedown attempt there.
Go is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tide gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Go drags the fight down to the ground.

Go looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tide is one step ahead there.
Tide must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We're going to have a standup here because Lobo Go wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Go manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tide on his heels. He'll look to pass Tide's guard now, I'm sure.

Go closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Go lands in his opponent's guard.

Tide is trying to stand up here but Go is controlling him well.

Go missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Tide is breathing heavily.

Go looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tide with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tide avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Go.
Tide wants to improve his position but Go is controlling well.
Go perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Go decides to return to a standing position.

Go pushes Tide up against the cage in a clinch.
Go is trying to pull guard but Tide turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Tide is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Go to keep the fight standing.
Tide tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Go's elbow.

Go scores with a knee to the head.

Go gets control of Tide's arms and successfully pulls guard. Go will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Go is adopting a defensive guard.
Go lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tide!

Nice sprawl there from Tide as Go shoots in.
Tide shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Go sprawls well. Go wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tide gets slowly back to his feet.
Tide tries to clinch up but Go circles away and keeps his distance.
A lazy left from Go finds it's target.
Go shoots for a takedown but Tide saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Tide.
Tide throws a right hand that misses
and Go counters with a thumping low kick.
Tide misses with a takedown attempt - Go sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tide takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tide throws a head kick that misses.

Tide tries to clinch up.
Go tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tide sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Go somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lobo Go. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Go misses with a double jab.
Go shoots in but Tide avoids the takedown attempt easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tide.

Go feints and as Tide raises his hands in defense, Go changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lobo Go overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Go advances position into side control!
Go scores with punches from side control.
Tide is trying to get back to half guard.

Go wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tide, who protects the arm well.
Tide seems a little lost for a moment, as Go dominates the positioning.

Go decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tide to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Go closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tide's guard.
Tide wants to get back to his feet but Go is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tide throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Tide is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Go is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Lobo Go has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Go looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tide!
Go prevents Tide from getting the reversal.
Go punching from mount but Tide doing a good job of avoiding damage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tide is looking to improve his position but Go isn't that keen on the idea.

Well Go has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
