Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aloha Hoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Budo Rei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hoi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rock You Like A Hurricane. Rei has chosen Alice in Chains - No Excuses as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Budo Rei!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rei throws a nice inside leg kick.
Hoi misses with a kick to the body.
Rei pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Hoi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Hoi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Hoi is trying to get an arm triangle but Rei is defending well.
Rei sneaks back into half guard.
Hoi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Rei wants to get back to full guard.
Hoi is trying to control the action in half guard but Rei is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hoi wants to pass the guard but Rei is defending well.
Hoi wants to take a breather but Rei is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hoi is just content to waste time from the top position. Rei takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Aloha Hoi.

and Hoi counters with a right hand to the body.
Hoi looks to land a left hand but Rei moved out of range nicely.
Rei is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Budo Rei has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rei looks to land a left hand but Hoi moved out of range nicely.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rei.
Rei is looking to slow Hoi down with leg kicks.
Budo Rei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hoi scores with a nice head shot.
Rei misses with an uppercut.

Hoi connects with a right hand. Rei shakes it off.
Rei scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hoi in his tracks.
The fighters circling - Rei throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Hoi waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Rei. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Rei to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Rei is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rei is on top in guard.
Rei preventing the sweep.
Rei wanted to stand there but Hoi had control of the position.
Rei postures up.

Hoi controlling Rei's posture.
Hoi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rei controls the pace.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rei uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hoi.

Hoi cracks Rei with an uppercut from hell and Rei crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Hoi's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hoi forces his way into half guard.
Rei makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rei.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aloha Hoi dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Budo Rei's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Rei walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hoi.
Hoi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Hoi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rei as he jumps to the side.
Rei scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Rei throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hoi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hoi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Horrible takedown by Hoi or perhaps it was just good defense by Rei which made him look bad.
Hoi keeps Rei at a distance using the push kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Hoi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hoi checks the leg kick.
Hoi dips to his left and cracks Rei with an uppercut!

That has opened up Budo Rei's cut even more.
Hoi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aloha Hoi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hoi walks into a jab.

Nice combo by Hoi! Oh, that's hurt him - Rei falls to the canvas and Hoi follows him into side control.
Rei is still in real trouble! Can Hoi finish him?

Hoi seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Hoi is looking for a kimura but Rei is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hoi to get the leverage.
Hoi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rei keeps working.

Hoi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rei sees it coming and defends easily.
Hoi moves into full mount! Rei won't be happy about that!
Rei is in all sorts of trouble here.

Rei is bucking up trying to escape but Hoi cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The cut above Budo Rei's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Budo Rei's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
