Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ahoy Matey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stock Pile!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pile misses with a body kick.

Matey feints and as Pile raises his hands in defense, Matey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pile pulls Matey in to control the position.
Pile tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pile working a defensive guard here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pile can do anything to dispel that myth.

Stock Pile has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Matey throws a head kick but Pile moves out of range.
Matey moves out of range of the body kick from Pile.

Matey knocks Pile to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?


Pile is rocked!


It looks like Stock Pile has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pile is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Pile is trying to get back to half guard.
Pile holding on.
Matey throwing shots but missing, from side control.
You can see the frustration on Pile's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matey fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Matey wants to control for a moment but Pile uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Pile is controlling Matey's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Matey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pile keeps working.
Pile looks like he's trying to stand up.

Pile makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Pile rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Matey moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Matey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pile is trying to defend but Matey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Pile is doing well to control the position and prevent Matey from advancing to side control.
Pile wants to control but Matey is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Matey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pile on the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Still in half guard, Matey seems content to control.
Pile is looking to escape.
Pile is pressing down on Matey's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Pile looking to control.
Matey is looking to advance position but Pile has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Matey is trying desperately to improve position.
Matey tries to hold on but Pile postures up.
Pile can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Matey is looking to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ahoy Matey dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Stock Pile's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Pile fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Matey avoids it really well and circles away.

Matey looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pile won't allow Matey to pass to mount.
Pile is trying to control but can't.
Matey missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Matey connects with a nice short shot to Pile's temple.
Matey prevents Pile from standing back up.
Pile throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Pile trying to control from the bottom.
Stock Pile has got the better of the ground game so far.
Pile throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Pile has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matey is working away from the top position though.
Matey stalling.
Matey thows a huge punch but Pile dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Matey wants to control but Pile is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pile dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Matey. That did some damage!
Pile fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Matey manages to avoid it.
Pile fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Matey misses with a head kick.

Matey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pile lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Matey!
This has been an exciting period of action!

BOOM! Pile connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pile lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Matey hang on?


Matey is rocked!
Pile working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Oh Matey is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pile prevents Matey from getting the reversal.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pile unloading with bombs!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pile wants to control the pace but Matey is squirming around nicely.
Pile lands a big shot to the head and Matey winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Stock Pile!
