Mir closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lawman is looking for a sweep. Mir is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lawman tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Mir moves nicely into side control.
Lawman is not content to let Mir control the position.
Lawman tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Mir cracks Lawman with a big right hand but Lawman just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Mir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lawman keeps working.

Mir is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lawman looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mir gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lawman is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mir lets go of the hold and Lawman can pop his arm back in it's socket.
