Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Jay Z-Dirt on ya shouldas. Gracie has chosen Bodies/Drowning pool as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gracie.
Diaz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Gracie is looking for a kimura but Diaz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kirk Gracie has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diaz avoids it really well and circles away.
Diaz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Diaz lands a jab to Gracie's midsection.
Gracie misses with a wild body shot.
Gracie shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Diaz wants to control but Gracie passes into side.
Gracie is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Diaz will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gracie is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Diaz looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gracie gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Diaz is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gracie lets go of the hold and Diaz can pop his arm back in it's socket.
