Yip Man comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Everything in it's right place kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pushkar tries to bum rush Yip Man with a series of wild strikes but Yip Man uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A chopping leg kick lands by Yip Man.
Pushkar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yip Man moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pushkar lands a jab to the nose.
Pushkar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yip Man circles away quickly and effectively.
A punch lands to the side of Pushkar 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Yip Man will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Yip Man changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pushkar tries to avoid it but Yip Man manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pushkar to the ground. Pushkar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Yip Man is stalling here. Pushkar is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Yip Man seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Pushkar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pushkar is looking to take a break and control but Yip Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Grand Master Yip Man showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pushkar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Benedikt Pushkar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yip Man pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pushkar is out of range and Yip Man settles back down.
Pushkar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yip Man's waist but Yip Man gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pushkar off to one side.
Grand Master Yip Man is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Pushkar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yip Man has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pushkar has managed to get both his arms back between Yip Man's legs - danger averted.

Yip Man parries the strikes from Pushkar easily there. Pushkar is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Yip Man to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
