Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Kowalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kimbo Slice!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kowalski pinned against the cage. Kowalski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Slice takes one to the chin there.

Kowalski closes the distance and clinches.
Slice jumps guard but Kowalski turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Kowalski pulls guard successfully.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Kowalski is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Slice prevents Kowalski from breaking the clinch.

Kowalski pulls guard.
Kowalski wants to stand but Slice is controlling the position.
Kowalski might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kowalski wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Slice manages to pass to side control.

Slice seems to be working for a kimura but Kowalski defends the submission attempt.
Kowalski is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kowalski manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Kowalski gets caught flat footed, as Slice shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Slice stops Kowalski from standing up.
Kowalski wants to get back to his feet but Slice passes into half guard.
Slice stops Kowalski from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kowalski is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Slice is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kowalski is just riding it out for now. Slice eventually gives up the hold.
Slice stops Kowalski from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kowalski trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Slice maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kowalski could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Slice has cracked it and Kowalski is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Slice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kimbo Slice!
