Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniels Drinkis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Conteh!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drinkis shoots in looking for a takedown but Conteh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Drinkis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Conteh uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Drinkis.
Drinkis misses with a wild body shot.

Drinkis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Drinkis showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Drinkis not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Drinkis stops Conteh from getting back to his feet.
Conteh won't allow Drinkis to pass to mount.
Drinkis thows a huge punch but Conteh dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Drinkis lands a nice short elbow.
Drinkis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Drinkis prevents Conteh from standing back up.
Conteh tries to roll over but Drinkis keeps him under control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Drinkis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Drinkis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Conteh defending well though.

Drinkis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Conteh keeps working.
Drinkis throwing shots but Conteh is blocking nicely.
Conteh is trying to stand up here but Drinkis is controlling him well.
Drinkis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Conteh is refusing to be controlled, as Drinkis sits in half guard.
Drinkis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Drinkis slips a nice elbow through Conteh's hands, connecting with Conteh's forehead.
Drinkis wants to pass to mount but Conteh is defending the position.
Drinkis trying to control from half guard but Conteh is working away.
Conteh wants to get back to his feet.
Drinkis is keen to just control but Conteh is a slippery customer.

Conteh blocking the ground and pound attempt from Drinkis.
Drinkis wants to free his trapped foot but Conteh is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Drinkis trying to control from half guard but Conteh is working away.
Conteh is trying to stand.
Drinkis is controlling the pace.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Conteh tries to kick Drinkis off but Drinkis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Drinkis tries for a takedown but Conteh circles away easily
and Conteh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Daniels Drinkis has been cut.
Drinkis fails with the takedown
and Conteh counters with a one-two to the body.
Drinkis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Drinkis shoots in and drives through. Conteh sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniels Drinkis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Conteh misses with a right hand
and Drinkis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Conteh has cracked Drinkis with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Conteh lands another huge swinging hook and Drinkis tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Drinkis, before Conteh can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Conteh!
